Tumu Whakarae – Chief Executive
Rebecca Elvy became Chief Executive at Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision in May 2015. She combines senior leadership experience with postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration and Strategic Studies (Massey University and Victoria University), and has studied Organisation Development at Columbia University. She has worked in leadership and advisory roles for the Ministry of Education, the State Services Commission, the Department of Finance and Deregulation (Canberra), The Treasury, and the Commerce Commission.
Rebecca is passionate about connecting the audiovisual material in the archive with the world, and ensuring it continues to be available long into the future.
She places significant emphasis on relationships and external engagement. Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision is dependent on the continued support of government, broadcasters, filmmakers, researchers, and the cultural heritage sector to be successful. Adding value and engaging with others about the work we do and the services we provide will continue to be an area of focus for her.
