The Clean are a New Zealand band who are closely identified with the “Dunedin Sound” championed and promoted by the Flying Nun records label. The 3 piece band consists (typically) of brothers Hamish and David Kilgour and Robert Scott (The Bats), but has had other band members who are also notable members of the Flying Nun roster of bands. The Clean have released a number of albums, singles and EP’s with “Beatnik”, “Point That Thing Somewhere Else”, “Anything Could Happen” and “Tally Ho!” being their best known songs.

This is the music video for “Anything Could Happen” from the EP “Boodle Boodle Boodle” by The Clean. this EP reached number 4 in the New Zealand singles charts despite being an EP and remained in the top 20 for nearly 6 months.

This video opens with a shot of a dandelion head on the lawn of a large park. Then it becomes a sequence of shots of a landfill rubbish tip, the members of The Clean standing on Christchurch streets singing and performing, the band performing in a park, a cemetery, near piles of rubbish at a tip and outside a derelict building.
