PERSONAL RECORD. PATERSON, RAYMOND. STAFF OUTING

This amateur film was originally captured on colour 8mm film by John Raymond Paterson (1924-2002). Raymond, from Waitaki, Southland and Gore, was a mechanic and member of the Gore Cine Club.

Opening title “STAFF OUTING”
Several families enjoy a picnic on a field near their parked cars. The children run races and the adults play a ‘toss pine cones in to a bucket’ game. Glass bottles of coloured drinks are passed out. A man juggles pine cones. More creative games are played and then the party gather together for a group picture.
