Kim Hill delivers one-on-one interviews with the week's leading newsmakers.

Interview with lawyer Tony Ellis and Justice Minister Phil Goff about the issue of financial compensation being awarded to prisoners whose rights have been breached while in prison. There has been public anger over five prisoners - represented by Tony Ellis - being awarded thousands of dollars each after their claims of ill treatment were vindicated in the High Court. The government is appealing the decision, and wants to introduce legislation to make it more difficult for prisoners to receive or access such pay-outs.
