THE SONG OF THE CITY

“This is an extension of Hung-wei Chuang’s other sound artwork, ‘The Song of the Snail’. Hung-wei is interested in the movement of the note on the sheet of the music. The five lines contain the differences of the tune. In this sound artwork, the tune moves up when the car goes up, and goes down when the car is going down. Sung by the artist herself, the self-choir weirdly echoes to the heavenly surreal traffic moving image.” Exhibition notes
