The Canterbury Mountaineering Club enroute to Carrington Hut was filmed by Tainui Robins. In the 1970s a recording of his commentary was made, this was matched (as much as possible) to the film by The Film Archive in 2000.

Polish refugees arrive in Auckland on board a ship returning soldiers from the war in Cairo and Europe. 725 children and 113 adults board two trains for the last stage of their journey to accommodation near Pahiatua. On arrival they join in a service of remembrance for those from whom they were parted in their war torn homeland. Produced by the National Film Unit.
