War Correspondent Quentin Reynolds continues his talk about the battle of
Sidi Omar that commenced at noon on the 25 November 1944.

Groups of Geman tanks and armoured cars ran round the desert below us
and the allied troops were besieged. The shelling continued on Wednesday
and he could not leave to file his story. Their commanding officer told
Quentin that he was sending out an officer with dispatches and he was
welcome to travel with him.

The dispatch officer and Quentin made it through the enemy lines after
an all night dash. He has only one regret and that is he cannot name
the Southern County Regiment because of security reasons.

The account ends with a word of praise for the individuals of the
regiment "There are still giants in the land".
