The Ministry of Forestry is moving to set up traps to see if the Asia gypsy moth has landed in New Zealand. There is the threat that the moth could devastate native and exotic forests. If moths are found the Auckland area may have to be sprayed. This potential spraying is causing
concern with Asthma Foundation and Pesticide Action Network in particular. Kerry Lamont - interview with Alison White from Pesticide Action Network. Neil Billington - live interview with John Bell, biologist in Canada who has used the spraying technique in Vancouver.
