Marsh, Ngaio, 1895-1982, Speaker/Kaikōrero

Writer and producer Ngaio Marsh talks about her grandfather, Edward Seager. He started the police force - for which he designed the uniform - and arrested sheep stealer James Mackenzie in 1855. He was also governor of the jail and was later the Superintendent at Sunnyside Hospital, Christchurch.
He had a great enthusiasm for theatre and conjuring and brought back conjuring props from overseas. Marsh tells a story about an act he used to perform using one of her aunts as an assistant.
