Opening programme of the new station building for 1ZB (in Durham St, Auckland.)

Part 1 - Director of broadcasting Colin Scrimgeour gives an introductory speech at the opening of 1ZB. He is followed by Hon. David Wilson

Part 2 - Scrim introduces the architect, Mr. Alva Bartley, and builder, Mr. Noel Cole who both speak and the station is declared open.

Greeting and congratulations from a Hollywood radio station or production house.

Part 3 - First section of programme: Ana Hato, Te Mauri Meihana and Deane Waretini perform. A karakia begins, followed by Deane Waretini singing "May I Not Love?"; Te Mauri Meihana sings "When the Tired Winds" from "Hinemoa" by Alfred Hill

Part 4 - Ana Hato sings 'Whispers of Heaven' by Erima Kaihau. Ana Hato and Deane Waretini perform 'Home, little Māori home'. Jimmy McFarlane introduces the 1ZB Orchestra.

Part 5 - Featuring a novachord instrumental played by Eric Bell followed by John McCraw[?] singing and piano with Peter Bell on the novachord.

Part 6 - 1ZB orchestra perform, The Corina trio, comedy dialogue, orchestra. / Comic dialogue, Mr. MacFarlane sings with the 1ZB orchestra, more comic dialogue.

Part 7 - Performers: The Four Octaves; an unidentified vocal group; female impersonator, Phyllis Gribben [?] plays an Eric Bell composition and other unidentified performers including a child from Station T.O.T.

Part 8 - Station T.O.T performance; Bryan O'Brien sings several children's songs of his own composition, female impersonator.

Part 9 - 1ZB orchestra, comedy skits.
