An unidentified male announcer [possibly Mr McDowell] describes the Whare Runanga meeting house at Waitangi, built as part of the Centennial celebrations.

Mr Samuel Maioha is interviewed about the carvings on the house. He explains the carvings of Rangi and Papa on the outside, saying they are a masterpiece of this carver's work. They then enter the whare, and talk about the interior carvings and other features including the tukutuku panels, and the portrait of Tau Hēnare M.P.

Interview with Mr Riri Maihi Kawiti about the history of the Ngāpuhi people, starting with their arrival in New Zealand at Hokianga.
