The NZBU Commentator, M. D. Laurenson continues with an account of the operation in Greece, which came to an end with the evacuation of the allied forces.

The broadcast is being made from a New Zealand transit camp, through which all the returning soldiers are checked in before being sent elsewhere to reform and refit.

The odds were 10:1 against the New Zealanders in the war in Greece. All the troops asked for on their return was that in future they be given adequate air support.

Fifth columnists had infiltrated into the country in the guise of tourists and businessmen.
