Side 1. Concert Party that visited Korea, 1953/54
Ulric Williams introduces this programme of recordings from Korea where five selected members of the New Zealand Māori Concert Party perform to a Canadian Unit. They open with an action song of welcome 'Haere Mai Rā E Nga Iwi' and the three women of the group sing 'Tahi Nei Taru Kino '. All three female singers Makuini Warbrick, Ao Tamihana and Reo Mitchell receive a warm welcome from the Commonwealth Division with the Forces newspaper billing Ao Tamihana as 'the Rotorua nightingale.'
A hit from the musical comedy 'Showboat' titled 'Make Believe' is sung by Ao Tamihana and the group perform an action song which is became something of a prayer for the Māori boys serving overseas 'Arohaina Mai E te Kingi Nui ' and finish the concert with a song of farewell ['E pari ra'].

Ulric Williams introduces this programme of recordings which opens with '[?]', a call of welcome by the elderly women follows, a hymn 'Nearer still Nearer' is sung in Māori and then English, then two action songs, '[?]' and 'Taku Meremere'.
