Five New Zealanders talk about their experiences as prisoners of war held by the Japanese during the Second World War.
The interviewees in the programme are:
Margaret Mills, captured in Shanghai;
Richard Jordan, captured in Singapore;
Cyril Taylor, captured in Hong Kong;
Joe Hosier, captured in Singapore;
Dick Bell, captured at sea and held in Japan.
The POWs describe the circumstances of their capture, the camps they were interned in, the conditions and treatment they endured.
