"George" of Hamilton talks about the problems and attitudes faced by homosexuals in the community, and looks at the question of whether or not men are born gay.

He says gay people in Hamilton face discrimination in employment and when making friends, and says there is some "poofter bashing" but overt violence is rare.

George says, in his mind, one of the most important things is facing up to one's own homosexuality - so many people refuse to admit to their own feelings. He talks about coming out, and how a person's parents might handle hearing that their child is gay.

He says being gay is not a decision or a conscious choice; and discusses the notion that gay people are more emotional than straight people.
