Jeremy Rifkin is an economist and a social philospher, the author of such works as the Biotech Century and the End of Work. He runs a non-profit organisation called the Foundation on Economic Trends in Washington and has been called a professional activist. In 1969 he founded the Citizens Commission to investigate crimes committed by US during Vietnam war. His book the Biotech Century called for strict government controls on scientists and his foundation is suing Monsanto for not adequately testing their agriculture products. His name is not popular in some scientific circles. His latest book the Age of Access, Jeremy Rifkin puts the boot into Monsanto and much more, saying that soon virtually every activity outside the immediate family will become a paid for experience.
