Mrs. Mary McCurdy, the wife of the late Angus McCurdy, former mayor of Upper Hutt, talks about her husband having great ideas, including that of building a large house. The house, she says, was never finished and then upon his becoming mayor, he did not spend much time at home. In response to the question: "What's it like to be 100?", Mrs McCurdy replies, "I'm glad I've lived as long as this".
