This recording contains a brief interview with the Master of the Wahine, Captain H. G. Robertson, following the inquiry into the the sinking of the Lyttelton–Wellington ferry on 10 April 1968.

He says he is very relieved and humbled that he was vindicated by the inquiry. He says he received many letters and telegrams of support and pays tribute to his wife who has been his greatest source of strength.
