Voice breaks where listener's faxes and emails concerning R K Watkins' complaints to the BSA are discussed. Features announcers from The Morning Rumble, Nick and Roge, Darcy Crispin Waldegrave and Jono. While the complaint was withdrawn according to the label, the decision below has some relevance to this tape.

A news bulletin regarding the sentencing of those who murdered Michael Choy and other stories from National Radio's Morning Report, from 17/9/02. The tape's outside cover is labelled "Off the wire 4/8/02" but contains no relevant audio.

This tape was broken but has been spliced by BP 11/02/05
John Banks explains that the New Zealand yacht team in the America's cup should not 'throw' a yacht race to the Itallian team, but should "grind them right into the mud at the bottom of the Waitemata harbour". Banks accuses the Itallian team of showing off and refers top them as "Italian fairies'. Several callers discuss John Banks' opinions. This tape does not contain the term'greasy italian's referred to in the tape below, but does contain other phrases. The below complaint relates to a broadcast from 23/2/2000 and appears to relate to the tape labelled as above.Please note BSA reference to 'incomplete tape'.
Complaint: talkback – John Banks – critical of Italian team at America’s Cup – greasy Italians – unfair – offensive language – discriminatory – incomplete tape
Findings: Principle 1 – offensive – uphold; Principle 7 – no uphold
Order: Costs to the Crown in the sum of $1000.00.

Complaint: Mana News – call for voters to vote for one mayoral candidate – unbalanced – encouraged discrimination against non-Māori – broadcaster upheld Principle 4 balance aspect – procedures revised to ensure longer period to vet Mana material
Findings: (1) Principle 7 – Guideline 7a - does not meet high threshold required for discrimination – no uphold - Guideline 7f – call to support candidate with understanding of Māori issues – not an advertisement for a specific candidate – no uphold; (2) Action taken – appropriate in context of breach
