Wiremu Kerekere presents a programme about author and retired broadcaster Leo Fowler, who has written a book about the carved wharenui at Manutūke, Te Mana o Tūranga.

In this programme highlights are presented from the launch of the book . Leo Fowler spent twenty years researching this history of Te Mana o Tūranga.

Mr Mervyn Howell, Gisborne District Committee Chairman of the NZ Historic Places Trust speaks and is interviewed by Bruce Burn.
Speech by Leo Fowler in which he acknowledges the Williams' Trust for its financial contribution to the book's production.
Also acknowledges elders of Whakatō marae.
