She speaks with Māori Education Officer John Waititi from the Auckland Education Department about why so many young Māori leave school without proper qualifications.

After publicity about Robert Mahuta's success in sitting School Certificate as an adult student, many Māori were inspired to return to education and Moana Raureti, a Māori Welfare Officer in Hamilton was asked to set up Māori night classes.
Special Māori night classes have been set up in parts of Auckland, Huntly, Morrinsville and Hamilton.
Mr I. Hamilton, superintendant of night classes in Hamilton speaks about the classes and the admiration teachers have for their adult Māori students.
Several unidentified men and women are interviewed about how they fit night classes into their lives and what they hope to gain.
Mr Raureti speaks briefly about the impact of the classes.
