Selwyn Murupaenga talks with Hēnare Toka, Elder and Master Carver, about the building and the growing progress of two new Marae being built in the Auckland area. They are the Orakei Marae and the Tuhoe based Marae, Te Tira Hou.

Kaikōrero: Matiu Te Hau
The Orakei Marae has often been spoken about as the Marae Matua for Auckland. He also talks about protocol and procedures.

Kaikōrero: Purewa Biddle
Speaks about the progress and the concept of building the Tuhoe Marae (two names were given at the time of consultation with Ngāti Whatua) - Te Tau a Punemu "Peacepak between Ngāti Whatua and Tuhoe - Kotahi a Tuhoe, e kata te po "Unity of the peoples of Tuhoe, it takes but one to make the people laugh". [NB. not necessarily named as such].
