The opening of the new wharenui Te Poho o Tipene, at St Stephen's School, south of Auckland.

Principal Frank "Scotty" McPherson speaks with Purewa Biddle about Te Poho o Tipene. He acknowledges Paki Harrison the main carver and also Peter Boyd who first suggested the idea of a new wharenui for the school.

Mrs Ina Marino was in charge of the tukutuku, although Peter Boyd was also involved with the tukutuku as well as Paki Harrison.
