The objectives of this Hui Taumata are: 1. to reach and understanding of the
nature and extent of the economic problems facing NZ as they affect the Māori
people.
2. to examine the strenghts and weaknesses of the Māori people on their
current position.
3. to discuss key policy issues and endorsment which will lead the Māori people
to a truly equal status of the life and economic social life of New Zealand.
4. to obatin from those people participating in the conference thier commitment
to assist and co-operate in dealing with the Māori people.
