New Zealand Polynesian Festival - 5th -held at the Lower Town Hall
during the first week of March 1979.

Heavy rain forced a change of venue from the Recreation Ground to the
Town Hall Horticultural Hall complex. Recordings of the individual groups
who took part and ancillary programmes.associated with this festival, are
already listed in MPT series, there are nine tapes. (no 7 of the original series is missing). consists of on-air broadcast made from Lower Hutt.

The commentator is Hēnare te Ua.Other staff involved are Whai Ngata, Purewa Biddle, Sione Jacobsen, and producer Colin McLean from the National Programme, also Wiremu Kerekere.
