John Hippolite of Nelson speaks about the Government's new Access Programme, describing it as just a new name for old and unsuccessful schemes. Regional boards will be set up to administer Māori training.

Twelve journalism trainees have just completed a new course for Māori journalists at Waiariki Community College in Rotorua. Two of them, Janie Wilson and Lawrence Wharerau, are interviewed by Roy Arneridge. They talk about the different perspective they will bring to journalism as Māori.
