This was recorded for broadcast on the "Mosquito Network" - temporary radio stations set up for entertaining Allied forces fighting in the Pacific during World War II.

Musical accompaniment is provided by the school band.

Hymn "Onward Christian soldiers"
A reading of Psalm 23
Unidentified hymn
Hymn "Praise God from whom all blessings flow"

The Rector Mr D.S. Chisholm announces the death of Adolf Hitler.
He notes a record of the assembly is being made for broadcast overseas. Over 200 Old Boys are currently on active service and he hopes many will get to hear this recording.

He gives some details about recent events at the school and staff, which may be of interest to Old Boys, and notes the names of former staff who are also serving overseas. He notes Old Boys who have been decorated and reads a message from their Association.

To conclude the special assembly a verse of the School song is sung.
