"Song and Story of the Māori." Short Wave Radio Broadcast.

Singers in uniform: The Māori Battalion and Linton Camp Māori Choir.
Narrated by Ulric Williams.

Waiata "Ngāti Porou"sung by the Māori Battalion before leaving for overseas during World War II.

"Au e Ihu" a hymn sung by a Linton Camp Māori Choir formed during the 1956 14th compulsory military training intake. The soloist is Harry Hapuku.

The choir is lead by two members of the permanent staff, A.G. Armstrong and Reupena Ngata.

Details of how the Ngāti Porou trainees spend their weekends - eeling expeditions and choir singing. They put on a hāngi at the end of their training period - the first time they had prepared one without supervision of kaumātua.
They sing "Karu karu" then "Koutou kātoa", a hymn. Soloist is Wiremu Piru.

And finally another song by the Māori Battalion before leaving Aotearoa for active service overseas.
