HON. PHIL GOFF: MP, Leader of the Labour Party talks this week about the new 3G, 2G mobile phone network starting in August this year by a company called 2 degrees. Their frequency spectrum was supplied by Hautaki Trust which was bought by the Trust some nine years ago from the Labour government of the day through the Waitangi Treaty Terms. They also talk about the NCEA system of qualifications in New Zealand schools, the Māori delegation travelling to Fiji under the umbrella of the Māori Political Party, to talk with the military ruler, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, the Mt. Albert by-election concerning the Waterview Motorway problem; will there be a Tunnel or will they be demolishing houses for an overland Motorway and finally, they discuss the ongoing Auckland Super City debate and how the National Party and the Act Party want to ram through legislation under urgency this week despite the fact that two to one of Auckland rate-payers are saying "not enough consultation" and who will be paying about 550 dollars per rate-payer, we need to get this right. Why is this particular model being imposed on us and why don't we have a say on the outcome that National promised us in their manifesto?

MANOS NATHAN: A half-caste Cretan and Māori Sculpture Artist talks about his work, his exhibition and his father who was in the 28 Māori Battalion serving in Crete. He also talks about the body of work in this exhibition and how they came about, the symbolism and the materials he has used in his contemporary art form.
