Māori songs recorded at Rotorua, 1948 by the New Zealand Broadcasting Service Mobile Recording Unit.

[According to accompanying documents, the concert parties of Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Whakaue, Tūhourangi and the Taiporutu Club were recorded in the wharenui Tamatekāpua at Ōhinemutu, Sunday 15 August 1948. These recordings were being made for the ABC Australia and BBC in preparation for the planned visit to New Zealand by King George VI in 1949, which never eventuated.]
