Paakiwaha is a weekly two-hour current affairs programme broadcast on Monday mornings on Radio Waatea. Delivered in English, it covers current issues from a Māori perspective. It has been broadcasting since 2002. Paakiwaha is funded by NZ On Air and is provided to various Community/Access stations and other broadcasters. Noel Raihania 28 Maori Battalion C Company: Voting forms have been delivered to thousands of households to pick a new flag or keep the current one. Noel Raihania, one of the very few remaining members from the 28 Maori Battalion says when they signed up to fight in the war they signed up for God for King and for Country under that flag and signed up allegiance to that flag. He says his allegiance is still there.
