The Source is a Civic Education radio programme and podcast series created by the Dunedin Youth Council and Otago Access Radio's Youth Zone. Each episode aims to explore and discuss different aspects of Civics in order for young people to be better informed about what goes into making their city run. Members of the Dunedin Youth Council take you through a different aspect of civic education each episode. From the different departments in council, to how to get your voice heard in local government.

In today's programme Alana and Kelly bring you information about the New Zealand voting system, as well as the voting systems from other countries. This week the team is also joined by David Clark MP for Dunedin North to chat about why voting is so important.
