“We enter into the Waikato region to the homelands of Te Iti Kahurangi. The teams are given the opportunity to display their skills in music, paddling and performing arts. Who will be at the top of their game today?”

The haka groups are in Hamilton for the “Hakapakari challenge. The haka groups task is to construct a raft and launch and row their raft to an Island in a man made lake and back again. Muriwhenua take out the raft and the Hakamatatau challenges. The four haka groups last challenge of the day is to compose a waiata about the local area in the Hakangahau challenge.
