ZB Citizens Forum - 'Is Sunday observance necessary?', 26/6/1949, Part 2.
Unidentified men [one is a 'Mr Hanlon'] discuss the need for moral guidance and whether that can still be gained by attending church on Sundays. Some discussion about declining numbers of people attending church and whether people should be able to go to alternative activities such as football or pictures on Sundays.
One man talks about the waning influence of religion but argues society is more morally advanced today.
Another man argues that Sunday needs to be kept separate from the rest of the week and respected.
The history of Sunday observance is also discussed.
