During the 1980s the world was confronted with a new and frightening Environmental concern, ozone depletion. The term ozone hole is now a common phrase but what exactly is the ozone hole and why should we be concerned about it. This programme looks at the phenomenon and investigates the reason why scientists converge on the Antarctic continent each spring in their quest to understand the complex chemistry that is going on above.
