“This was a promotional film for a computer film production budgeting system, developed in NZ for sale around the world. It portrays a rather Pythonesque film production office, stylistically in the 1930s, in which the confusion is overcome by the use of the computer system [promo for the Film Management System].
The whole thing was shot in a very short time, and of necessity, I invented much of the script as we went along. Despite having to demonstrate a number of rather tedious points to the satisfaction of the client, we tried to make the thing as amusing as possible. The performers included Bruno Lawrence, Bruce Phillips and Dell King, with Peter McKenzie fronting.” (Derek Morton)
