Surviving short extracts from footage which reportedly originally included shots of the South Africa v. West Coast-Buller rugby match, Victoria Park, Greymouth, 27th July 1921. (NB. There is no rugby in these extracts.)
Footage begins with intertitle: “Springboks leaving the hotel for Victoria Park”. Two long cars, carrying many male passengers - and the first with men standing on the running board - motor along along a pedestrian-lined town street. They are followed by an open-top car and the pedestrians who move into the street.
Two initially-stationary cars, one in the middle of the street, begin to drive off.
A sawmill by a water channel. Two men throw sawn timber from a pile into the channel. (This is possibly footage from a different source to the above.)
