Geoff Robinson introduces a report by Ray Wilmot, which includes actuality of the band DD Smash, rioting, comments from a young woman about youth wanting to see some 'action', police commander Graham Perry, Auckland shop-keepers.

Then Lindsay Perigo interviews Police Minister Ann Hercus and Auckland Mayor Cath Tizard about the riot's causes and police response. The role alcohol played in the riot is discussed.
