Rights Information

The Clean are a New Zealand band who are closely identified with the “Dunedin Sound” championed and promoted by the Flying Nun records label. The 3 piece band consists (typically) of brothers Hamish and David Kilgour and Robert Scott (The Bats), but has had other band members who are also notable members of the Flying Nun roster of bands. The Clean have released a number of albums, singles and EP’s with “Beatnik”, “Point That Thing Somewhere Else”, “Anything Could Happen” and “Tally Ho!” being their best known songs.

This is the music video for “Too Much Violence” from the album “Modern Rock” by The Clean.

The Clean perform “Too Much Violence” in a warehouse space as dwarves blow smoke rings, juggle, dance and jump on trampolines. This is inter-cut with footage of the Kilgour brothers walking on New York streets.
