A type of essay film which documents the artist Michael Nicholson’s work at various galleries, It begins asking philosophical questions about rock drawings and human beings. The artist is shown as a photograph in his studio. Sometimes the text asks questions, for example “If ‘stories’ are the basics of culture, what’s the ‘story’ then? Well, sculpture for one”. Stills are shown of sculptures outdoors, and various paintings. At the end an example from the video installation Videop is shown.
