One of the country's earliest punk bands, Suburban Reptiles brought fun, glam and a near punk-parody to the New Zealand music scene. Formed by a number of art school students, the Reptiles here perform around downtown Auckland. They contributed songs to the soundtrack of David Blyth's feature Angel Mine . After performing at the film’s premiere, members of the band would eventually form The Swingers.
