Camera pans along Christchurch street to arch at the Bridge of Remembrance. Approaches pedestrianised mall section of Cashel Street. Moves to doorway- street no. 87- between Radar Records And Tapes and Naturewear Leather at 87a. Closes in on sign above doorway, “The Blue Ladder Theatre + Gallery (with an image of a snake and a ladder). Camera swings left to peek inside Radar Records; two copies of U2’s ‘Boy’ in the window, “Popular Cassettes” along wall. Enters the Blue Ladder Theatre doorway (with a blue ladder on it) and ascends stairs -drawn by diegetic music - towards the Blue Ladder sign on the first floor. Spins around and walks towards performance space (There is a model blue ladder on the wall). Camera operator in mirror. Signs: “Paris”, and on rudimentary furniture, Sacre Coeur”, “Louvre”, “Pont Neuf”. Painted backdrop of struts of level within Eiffel Tower and tricolour decorations. A platform dozing attendent. An ostrich (person in full costume) enters. Followed by a beret-clad hunter (with rifle). Similar antics follow.
