NBC NEWS is a current affairs show produced by the National Broadcasting Company in New York, USA. The show is broadcast internationally, including in New Zealand. This recording was captured off-air by Robert Chapman of Auckland University’s Politics Department and forms part of the extensive Chapman current affairs broadcast collection. The Chapman collection contains a small selection of recordings of NBC NEWS from 1991. During this period, NBC NEWS was broadcast in New Zealand at midday on TV3. The lead anchors in 1991 were Tom Brokaw and Roger Mudd. In addition to the news programme, this item also contains advertisement breaks featuring local New Zealand commercials.
