Auckland police say they have caught the man responsible for two armed robberies this morning and have taken possession of a sawn off shotgun and ammunition. The man allegedly held up a service station and a post bank branch.

500 Auckland taxi drivers drove slowly up Queen Street, at lunch time today, in protest of deregulation of their industry.
