Prime Minister David Lange calls the CER talks with Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke very positive but Leader of the Opposition, Jim Bolger, introduces a note of caution, while in Australia Bob Hawke says in a formal statment to Parliament that he is very optimistic about
relations between the two countries.
