1. 16th April 1931, the inter-island ferry, Rangatira, is launched. Captain Irwin recalls a close shave coming into Wellington during the war years. 00:06 - 01:21

2. 17th April 1910, escaped prisoner Joseph Pawelka was recaptured at Palmerston North. Two unidentified eye witnesses describe his escapades. 01:23 - 03:24

3. 18th April 1970, Apollo 13 returns to earth. Commentary from the recovery aircraft carrier. 03:28 - 05:13

4. 19th April 1937, the formation of the Federation of Labour. Campaign speech of the first president, Angus McLagan in 1949. A tribute to F. P. Walsh by Tom Skinner. 05:19 - 07:01

5. 20th April 1912, the supposed date of the death of the dolphin, Pelorus Jack. An unidentified man recalls his memories of Pelorus Jack, followed by the song 'Pelorus Jack'. 07:05 - 09:14

6. 21st April 1909, wedding of notorious impersonator, Amy Bock. Mr. Johnson of Balclutha recalls meeting her while she was impersonating a man, under the alias Percy Redwood. 09:17 - 12:05

7. 22nd April 1905, General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army visited New Zealand. Prime Minister Dick Seddon's daughter recalls having him to dine at their home, followed by a speech by Booth. 12:09 - 13:51

8. 23rd April 1895, the birthday of Dame Ngaio Marsh who talks about writing her detective stories (Jim Sullivan mistakenly says it is 1899). 13:55 - 15:46

9. 24th April 1915, World War I: Bernard Freyberg wins the Distinguished Service Order (DSO). Mary Ann Turnbull tells the story of Freyberg winning the DSO (although she calls it the VC) and recalls him in Morrinsville prior to the war. Sir Stephen Allen remembers him in the pre-war territorial company in Morrinsville. 15:51 - 18:19

10. 25th April 1915, World War I: Two ANZAC day recollections of Gallipoli. The first is Agnes Bennett with recollections of nursing, and then James Meek talks about morale in the trenches. 18:22 - 20:49

11. 26th April 1980, the death of comedienne Cicely Courtneidge. 1948 interview with her in Auckland, in which she is given a gift by Dunlop. Followed by part of a 'laughing gas' sketch. 20:53 - 23:01
