Radio New Zealand to Broadcast Service for Sir Paul Reeves:
Radio New Zealand will carry a live broadcast of the state funeral service for Sir Paul Reeves, Thursday, 18th August, on Radio New Zealand National.
Radio New Zealand will cross to the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Auckland from 11.00 am. The broadcast will be presented by Morning Report hosts, Geoff Robinson and Simon Mercep, and will be preceded by occasional live coverage on the Nine to Noon programme as reporters follow the cortege making its way from the Holy Sepulchre Church, in Khyber Pass, to the Cathedral. Roving reporter Natalie Mankelow provides continuity with the happenings beyond the Cathedral as the many hundreds of mourners pay their respects to a former Governor General.
