ECNZ is officially opening its wind generator on Brooklyn Hill in Wellington.
Tania Oolders reports on the choice of wind turbine, including interviews with Christchurch engineer Geoff Henderson, and Design Power engineer, Paul Von Heust. Henderson believes the choice of turbine was not the best and his own design is more suited to New Zealand's conditions; Von Heust defends the choice of a Danish model. ECNZ's Bruce Thompson says they chose a model which has already been proven all over the world.
