Waatea 603 AM (Radio station : Mangere, N.Z.), Broadcaster

Tāwera is a breakfast current affairs programme on Radio Waatea. It is delivered in te reo Māori and broadcasts every weekday morning – although only the Friday broadcast is archived. The programme aims to capture the major newsmakers of the day with an emphasis on providing a Māori perspective on national and global issues. Tāwera is funded by Te Māngai Pāho and is provided to other broadcasters via Irirangi.net - Te Whakaruruhau Reo Irirangi Māori o Aotearoa. In today’s programme:

1. Piripi Walker: the last piece of spectrum to be auctioned.

2. Henare Kingi: Unfair for MP's to get a pay rise over the less fortunate.

3. Haami Piripi: In the far north the community and police are working together on issues.

4. Pita Paraone: The ferry Aratere is a huge cost to the taxpayer since it broke down last week.

5. Chris McKenzie: MBA Graduation in Tainui.

6. Pierre Lyndon: Hakinakina - Basketball.
