Introduced by announcer Bill Leathwick, sports commentator Bob Irvine conducts an afternoon talkback session on Auckland station 1ZB on 13 September 1974, with guests former All Blacks George Nepia and Cliff Porter. [Several breaks throughout the recording and some variations in audio quality.]

Their appearance is to mark the 50th jubilee celebrations of the All Blacks' tour of Britain and France in 1924-25, after which the team became known as the "Invincibles".

George Nepia and Cliff Porter are interviewed about their memories of the tour, the sea voyages there and back, training, rugby then and now, anecdotes etc. [Bob Irvine's father was also in the team.]

They take talkback calls form listeners reminiscing about the Invincibles tour. At approximately 31'00" George Nepia tells how using a kowhai bark infusion saved his leg from amputation.

The recording includes spoken and recorded commercials for Foodtown and DB hotels, as well as questions in an on-going quiz.
